Biography Performance Compositions Productions Contact

My name is Pat Kelly and I reside in Cincinnati, OH, USA. I am seeking freelance work as a composer/arranger. I invite new projects, work either on contract or in collaboration with other composer/arranger/producers. Besides doing a stint as house producer with J Curve Records in the late-90s, early-2000's, where I oversaw the production and release of many complex CD projects, I have stayed involved in music on many levels. I composed the score for the feature film "Artworks" in 2004. I have led my 13-piece band, The PsychoAcoustic Orchestra, since 1992, which has served as my primary vehicle for creative composition. I have lots of music "in the can".

I have made a living as a professional musician for many years and my musical sensibilities are very eclectic. I began as a self-taught musician who learned, with the use of my keen ear, by listening to recordings of the music of my adolescence, which was late-1960s rock. I then began my explorations of jazz, classical, choral, Latin and other music. I belatedly (in my mid-20s) earned a conservatory degree in composition to improve myself, but I am a "street" musician at heart, rather than an academic. My instruments are piano, organ and keyboards.

Please listen to some short examples of my work and read my brief descriptions. All music is original except where otherwise noted. I am very adept and quick at transcription and style copying and have worked with the finest studio musicians in our locale. I solicit and invite work for TV, film and theater. Having much studio and production experience, I can contract musicians for recording sessions at my location or travel to yours to supervise a session.
